Problem with Mozilla 'n Netscape...

Sogni

*gone*
I HATE JavaScript changing the size of my Browser Windows! And I HATE sites that refuse to work with JavaScript disabled even more!

Why? See attached picture for reason (this one takes the cake!)

Now I can't get the Browser Window back to normal... I quit Mozilla and tried it in Netscape 7 - same problem (using same profile).

Anyone know of a way to get the Browser Window back to normal?
Key Combination maybe?

Thanks for any help... in the mean time I'm forced to use a browser I really don't like! :(

Nevermind... It's back to normal now - altho I have no idea what I did.

While playing with the sliver for a Browser Window - I musta done something to get it to pop open enough so I can drag it back to a usable size (double-clicked on the sliver?).

Weird...
Did I mention that I hate JavaScript changing the size of my Browser Windows? :p

Hell - I HATE JavaScript, period! (and I'm a WebDesigner! Esh!!!)

I've read that there are conflicts with NS 7 and Mozilla 1.x when installed in the same partition....something about preferences. Wish I could be more specific. I don't have that situation, so I didn't bookmark them.

Preach on, brother! Javascript is the tool of satan. Well, satan and marketing departments. I think more than 90% of the Javascript on the internet is dedicated to displaying popup advertisements, or trying to convince us to "shock the monkey and win $20."

That's what I like about iCab - it lets you pull of Javascript's little wings. :-) I can live with the minor formatting issues so long as I'm not being molested by some anonymous marketers.

Mozilla and Netscape do NOT play well together sharing the same preference files, notably, the prefs.js file. You can go into Mozilla's preferences and prevent websites from "playing around" with your browser window without disabling JavaScript. To prevent websites from displaying popup ads/windows, moving or resizing your browser window, go to Preferences | Advanced | Scripts & Plugins and select the features you deem appropriate. It's a good idea to keep a backup of the prefs.js file somewhere safe on your computer (not in the Mozilla folder). You can manually edit the prefs.js file with BBEdit since it's a plain text file.
