Yesterday I was in a meeting, demonstating some work to a client on my Powerbook using battery power. Then, for no apparent reason, the laptop suddenly lost all it's power and turned itself off. When I tried to start it up again it wouldn't respond until I eventually plugged it in. Now I can't use the laptop without plugging it into the mains. It doesn't seem to recognise the battery as the battery icon now has a cross in it. Is there anyway to recover the battery or am I going to have to fork out for another one
