Problem with Safari 1.3.2

I am running Mac OS X v. 10.3.9 on my computer. The system came with Safari 1.3.2 which has been working fine for a little over a year now.
Recently, Safari has been giving me an error message "Could not open page because Safari cannot locate the server." I know the internet is working because it is able to open certain pages (with new updated information, and not cached copies).

For example, if I conduct a google search, the results of my search come up, but when I click to open any one of the links in the results, I get the error message above.

Any solutions? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
 
Sounds like it could be a DNS issue. Try manually entering the DNS server addresses (in Network, then choose your connection method and then press configure and choose tcp/ip,) You should be able the DNS addresses from your set up info or from your isp's website.

(While you are in Network you might also check other settings to see if they are correct and current.)
 
Thanks jh2112. But if it is a DNS issue, how come Safari is able to open up certain web sites and other websites it cannot open?
