problems exporting photos from iPhoto...

Hi all...

I'm sure I'm missing something incredibly simple (like my brain...) but I can't get photos to export from iPhoto properly.

Nearly every time I select a bunch of pictures from an album, to export to a folder on my desktop, I am told that there is not enough space to complete the command. However, it's an intermittent problem (aren't they all?!)

I've got 10.7GB spare on my laptop - I'm trying to export a maximum of 500MB of pictures...

so what's with the bl**dy thing?!

Any help gratefully received!

this works for me sometimes, but not always...

I tend to have about 200 photos in each album - and they consist of 4 CompactFlash downloads (since my 1GB MicroDrive died on me)...

this means that i have several photos in the same album with the same "camera given" name...

this in turn means that i don't seem able to drop them into a separate folder on the desktop - as "one or more them is busy"...

does anyone know of a program that assigns numerical names to a selected range of photos / files / wavs etc.?

i'm too lazy / busy to go through each album and manually give them all a unique name!

help!
