programmer for free

i recall reading someone's post a while back looking for a programmer to implement their idea. and it got me thinking...

assuming there is no timeframe and we aren't talking about any real specialized apps, i'm game!

basically, i'm kinda bored and willing to work on projects. plus it might make for a good experience.

I've had this idea for an Online Operating System. I've built a prototype (bear in mind this is just a prototype! - and you'll need the Flash 6 plug-in).

What I want to do next is to assemble a community of programmers, application writers, web developers etc, etc. to write a new open-standard version, and some more applications. I'm interested in making it approriate for users of TV-top consumer type devices and handheld mobile devices.

As far as the technology goes, the IOS itself will be quite small and simple (not based on Flash this time). True Peer to peer communication is something for the future, and my proposal is much more here and now.

Some people think this is a strange thing to be working on - but I'm a mac user - Are you interested?
