punkbuster and q3 :(

Hi mac man,
--What you should do, well this is only my option, is go over to www.quake3world.com. They have a wonderful mac community. Inside the mac forum there is a FAQs, the link up near the top of the page. It'll tell you how to get punk buster working properly. Plus if you join, you'll have a good group of mac gamer to talk to.
--But before you go over there. I can tell you a little bit about what happening, but it is just my guess, because it is hard to diagnose your problem with such little information. First you need to know about Punk Buster. As you probable know q3a prevents cheating. Punk Bust is constantly being updated because people try to find new ways to circumvent punk busters. Punk Buster is a separate application there for punk buster has it's own version number separate from q3a. Allot of the time when punk buster complains about version numbers it's talk about punk buster version number. Not q3a version number. I am guessing that ether your not running 1.32, you didn't install punk busters, and or you just need to update punk busters.
If you want a quick accrete response. Witch will save you time. Try to be clear about your situation and the problem your experiencing. Re read your posts, and ask your self what question would you ask your self? Is there a part you don't understand, because maybe you should ask for some clarification about what you don't understand.

1. run q3a
2. pull down the console (hit the tilda key, the key to the left of the 1 key)
3. type "pb_cl_enable" hit return
The next line in the console should display some thing like "^5PunkBuster Client: PunkBuster Client (v1.069 | A0) Enabled". Do you see the (v1.069 | A0) that would be the vertion number. If I rember right v1.069 would be the client vertion, and A0 would be the server.
If it dosen't say some thing you can try "pb_sv_enable"
