Question: about make

Sorry to bug you with this kind of stuff, but I have a problem with the
command make. It seems that there is no such command on my darwin, since there is also no entry in the man for it and I'm not able to use it. I tried to search the web for it but exept me there seems to be no one with this problem.
Perhapse you have a clue what I should do, because i really need to run LISP on my machine and without make it won't.

I didn't know that this was necessary, cause I thought make is a standard feature of a unix based OS.
