Quicktime and imovie

Is it possible to edit clips from imove with Quicktime Pro and then once you are done import them back into your imovie project in a format that imovie can understand? Thanks in advance!
 
Yes...actually, there are many books on doing just this. One of the better ones is Erica Sadun's iMovie3 Solutions. You need QT Pro, but it's only $30. It let's you do so many things that are not talked about. With QT Pro and iMovie, you can do more than most people think...a lot more.

Just export from QT Pro as DV stream. That way iMovie will be able to import it. I think iMovie might do that automatically now as well when you import it. Give it a whirl.
