RAID 1 on dual 2.7 G5?

I would like to set up a RAID 1 on my Dual 2.7 G5. I would be buying 2 new identical drives. I am looking for data redundancy, not speed so that is why I think I want RAID 1 (drive mirroring)

Can I use the G5’s existing two drive bays with my two new drives and does OS X (10.4) have built in RAID awareness and capability?

Do I need to get a PCI card with special third party software?

To my knowledge (I have not tried, since I have Powerbook) Disk Utility
directly supports Raid 0 and Raid1, so I think you do not read no extra cards.

Mac Pro can be ordered with several disks that are striped using software
Raid. I remember reading that the Raid set is not available to Windows
(via Bootcamp, but this will be no problem (G5 cannot run Windows ;-) )

Sounds good, just G5, no MacPro yet. I will also have external firewire backup as well so I think this will work.
