I am about to take on the adventure of Raiding HDs for the purpose of mirrored drives.
The arrangement that I have (if it works) will be as follows...
Two external 250 GB Lacie drives, raided to be one drive.
One external 500 GB Lacie drive than to be set to mirror with the Other two that have been raided.
Ultimately, the single 500 GB drive will be the primary and the two 250's will be the mirror.
I guess I have a two part question. Will Disk Utility allow me to do what I have in mind?
Part two. When I replace my computer (which will be happening before the end of the year) Logically, the raid setup will be lost. However, what about the info on the drives when I hook them up to my new computer? Any issues?
