I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I get my Firefox browser to recognize that I do indeed have Windows Media Player installed on my IMac. Everytime I try to watch video on like cnn.com it tells me there is no player installed and it clearly is. Should I be changing something in the preferences? Thanks in advance.

First things first: Don't use Windows Media Player. Instead, use the free WMV Player by Flip4Mac. Microsoft has officially discontinued WMP and recommends WMV Player.
Once you install that, I think it should work just fine.
I guess the problem with WMP is that it's not Intel-native. The program itself will run under Rosetta, but that won't work for browser plugins, unless the browser is also running in PPC mode under Rosetta.
