Remote access/VPN

You can use Internet Connect application that is located in the Applications folder, if you know the configuration of where you try to log to.
There are also a few company wide scripts or applications that basically just give the details for what and where you want to connect to.

Checkpoint software do some VPN software for Mac called Secure Client which seems to work well, though 10.3.9 has broken my installation.
 
My Question is: My boss told me I could get an album he bought by accessing the VPN, and looking at his networked iTunes, but I only have access to 1 unit in the network. Does he have to let me into his machine, or should I be able to see if I just log in? Does iTunes have a "search network" function?
