Remote MP3 Hardware Controller for HiFi?

I have, in my home office, a PowerMac Dual Gig with about 350 albums worth of MP3's on. Does anyone know of a device that I can put in my HiFi (downstairs) that's the same size as a CD player, that can access those MP3's and play them?

I know I could get an ipod and sync them (well, not 350 albums but part of it anyway), but I seem to remember seeing something similar to what I've described. I searched the net but couldn't find anything, maybe I imagined it?

The only way you're going to be able to do this is some sort of PC or laptop with network capability.

I had heard of one of the devices you're speaking of on slashdot a few months back but I think it's far from production currently.

You can do this with slimp3 - http://www.slimp3.com/

You could also do this with an XBOX w/mediaplayer, PS2 w/QCast, and there is a future revision of TiVO that will stream your MP3s.
