Resource for Cisco VPN issues sought

I am trying to set up an SMB connection from my home Mac to the office Windows network through a Cisco VPN. I got the VPN client installed and working but don't know where to go from there.

Can you recommend any resources that would go in-depth on this stuff?

Does that get you started or is the VPN somehow preventing connection?
