resume link in Dreamweaver

Hey guys! I hope someone can lay this out for fairly simply. I have a website with some text ('download resume') in the foreground of the profile page to ultimately be a link to either open up a PDF of my resume in a new window or to launch the viewer download mgr. and download the PDF to their hard drive. I am unable to use hotspot and behaviors for this--I've tried. Any suggestions? Thanks.
 
Why do you want to use a hotspot? Is it an image that contains the text?

How about a link to the page in question (or the HTML ziped)?
 
Just link to the file and the person's browser will do whatever it needs to do to view it. If they don't have pdf set to view in browser it will download, and vice a versa.
