Rich Text with PHP

Has anyone here ever made a management application using rich text input feilds? allwoing ppl to bold, change fonts etc? If anyone has could they please let me know of any issues involved with using rich text (stored to db).
 
Either you mean how this forum works, or you mean a big text area where you can apply text formatting the same way you would with TextEdit or Microsoft Word.

For the former, there's loads of free stuff out there to let you do that. For the latter, you're going to need something like Java or Macromedia Flash .. which is something I'm exploring at the minute...

Remember though, rich text editors only work with browsers that support rich text. Safari does not, IE does not, but all Mozilla based browsers do. Oh except Camino because I don't think they've gotten to that point yet.
