"ripping" iphoto off of an install cd ???

Is there anyway I can install ONLY iphoto from my ibook install cd´s ? so that I don´+t have to install the whole system just because iphoto is totally f....d up ?!?
Iphoto launches and then quits buy it self, I have emptied caches and preferences but to no prevail... anyone knows something about these two questions ?

Sure. 2 Options:
1. Use Pacifist
2. Download TinkerTools, visualize hidden files and folders. Open your DVD and look for a ".image" folder. You will find the iphoto img in there. Simply double click.

Another way would have been to use search and see if someone else had the same problem like here:

I can also recommend Pacifist. I used it to extract the DVD player off the Panther install CDs when I installed a Combo drive (It's not installed if you don't have a DVD player at the time of installation).
It will ask you to put in all the installation CDs when you are extracting stuff from an OSX install, but once it knows where everything on the discs are, it will extract and INSTALL it for you, either in the default location, or wherever you tell it to. Very handy.
