1: Is there a player for OS X that will play .asf files? You know, the Windows Media Player proprietary formatted ones? I can't play those in QT, and WMP for OS X isn't out yet. Grr.
2. How come when I'm behind a router, yet I'm portmapping, I can't access myself via 127.0.0.1 or my actual IP address, but only via my IP address given to me by my router. Case in point: I had websharing going, but I couldn't access the page via my actual IP address OR 127.0.0.1, even though the port for websharing was being routed to my internal router address. The only address that would work in my web browser was 10.0.1.3, which is my IP address given to me by my browser. I should note that in the Sharing pane of SysPrefs, it says to use 10.0.1.3, but the others should work too. I also can't access myself via my actual IP to my own Hotline server, but I CAN access it by going to either my address as assigned by my router OR 127.0.0.1. What's going on here? Can anyone explain?
