Router Questions for Super techs...

I have a linksys HPRO200 for my homephone/network... My Mac is run off it... Recently however when I enter 192.168.1.1 I cannot seem to get into my own router... To edit anything... from my Mac...

What could be wrong? I've doubled checked all connections... I've even tried to open the router from my other PC... No go...

Could it be the router is dying? Everything seems to work network wise... but to not have access to my own router sucks. Please anyone help me with this issue... or tell me if the router is on it's way to the Grave.

I assume you have tried powering down and back up the router? If not try that first. Second, try pressing the reset button once. It will reset the unit. Holding the reset button for 5 seconds will hard reset the router ...this would clear pretty much anything outta there. Powering up while holding the router will wipe any settings you have in the router.

It helps but I really won't know how to reset the router for my internet use... once all the settings are wiped. will it reinitialize on it's own?

The Power down was and up was a success... I was able to get back into my router.
