Just had a thought you kind folks may be able to help or may even be already doing-
When u are in OSX and running apps in emulation I reckon you don't need large amounts of the control panels and extensions that are loaded up in order to run OS9 apps over the top of OSX.
For instance you could turn off Apple CD player, energy saver, monitors, control strip, sound etc etc etc because you should only need whatever OS9 bits you make use of from WITHIN the app itself (like the print drivers for example). It would save RAM also loading up a 'skinny' OS9 and prob run faster.
For instance I have a load of ATI specific extensions for my Radeon card in OS9 which I have disabled using Extension manager. I re-boot OS9, open an OS9 application and it runs fine. Im guessing you arent truly switched to OS9 then, rather OS9 is kinda opening up like a maximised window BUT OSX is still drawing the screen and dealing with the graphics.
What do you think?
