Why can't i login into Hotmail using Safari (v60, v64, v71, all the versions)

It always comes to this page: "Please retype your password"

To say this a bit more gently... Hotmail is Microsoft, and will likely only be "guaranteed" to work on the latest flavor of Windows AND the latest flavor of Internet Explorer at any time. There are many other free web-based email addresses out there, I would recommend transitioning to one of them. For instance, www.myway.com.

or, you could buy your very own macosx.com address!

- shameless plug :D

anyways back to topic, i think MS sells off its hotmail addresses... i signed up for one and didnt use it for anything at all, and its filled with spam every day, rather interesting i say :)

I bought the MacOSX.com address. No problems here. I also got one with Comcast, so I have two now.

Hey, it's doing this because of a bug in either Hotmail/MS Passport's authentication system or Safari's handling of said authentication. Regardless, you've got automatic login enabled, right? Just turn that off. I think if you get rid of the cookie you should be fine. Of course, you could always go to MacUpdate & download the httpmail plugin (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/10842) to read your Hotmail in Mail.app. :) That's what I do.
