Safari downloads stall and don't continue.

For some reason I have not been able to download a single thing in Safari, unless it's like 200kb.

But if it's about 5mb it will get to 3mb and stay at that. Every few minutes the time left meter will increase.

I've found that stopping and resuming the download works, but only some of the time. And it is a nuisance.

Any idea how to sort this out?

How do you connect to your ISP (dial up, Broadband, ???). It could be the ISP conection is dropping packets.

OR
Check System Preferences>Network>your connection>Proxies. At the very bottom is a box labeled Use Passive FTP Mode (PASV). Check that box. Now give it a try.
