Help!

I am trying to just use Safari, but I need access to hotmail and Safari is displaying "fractions" instead of text when I log into my account. Is there any way to fix this? This is the last thing keeping me in Explorer and I want to get away from it once and for all.

hotmail works fine with my safari.
are you using the default fonts in safari?
do you have a global css set somewhere?
not using english as the language for osx?

I have the language set to Western (Mac OS)

I don't think I have a global css. Where would I find it?

I have english set. All other websites besides hotmail function just fine.

Any ideas?

I have kinda the same problem, I can't use hotmail with Safari. I think it has somthing to do with hotmail being created using microsoft software and Safari is still kinda new. Hopfuly this will be fixed in future versions :(

Version 1.0.2

Maybe I need the version that comes with 10.3? I am running 10.2.8. I will bet it's the earlier version that has this bug.

Yes, the first few builds of Safari had problems with Hotmail. Update to the latest version and you'll be quite happy to find that the problem has already been solved.

I found this thread because I had the same problem (using Safari, Hotmail showed up with fractions).

The post previous to this said to download the newest Safari, but I had that and it still didn't work (OS 10.3.3, Safari 1.2 125).

But I've found the answer -- at least on my computer -- There were two versions of Helvetica Fractions in my Library / Fonts folder (and therefore in Font Book).

Probably deleting either one will fix the problem. (You have to delete it from your Library / Fonts folder, not from Font Book.)

Now Hotmail works fine.

Hope this helps.
