I'm just upgrading from older G3 Server with AppleShareIP to new G4/733 Server with Mac OS X Server 10.1.2. One thing that's noticeable strtaight away is the time it takes to save files to the new server over the network. for example, saving a file from VectorWorks to the old server from an iMac takes around 8 seconds. Saving the same file from the same iMac over the same network to the new server takes a whopping 25 seconds. What's going wrong? (or this is normal and AppleShareIP really was a better product?). Any help much appreciated.
