I'm gonna roll two related issues into one post. To make it easier, when responding to the issues, use the corrosponding numbers.
Issue 1: When various users save, a dialog comes up that says that there is not enough disk space or that the user does not have write access. When you click save again, you can save just fine. What would be causing this?
Issue 2: Certain users, in the bottom of their Finder windows of their Home Folder, it says "Zero KB Availible" meaning there is no space. I've deleted the user and replaced their home folder back into the share point, Zero KB Availble is no longer there, but a negligable amount of space (1.7 MB availible) is allocated for the user. There is a 2GB quota, but the users Home is only ~880 MB, and even users that have quotas still display the entire size of the sharpoint which is ~450 GB.
Any help would be extemely helpful towards solving this issue. Specs of the servers are as followed:
High School Servers:
Dual-1.0 GHz Xserve G4 running Mac OS X Sever 10.4.2
connected to 4-drive Xserve RAID (~800GB) with RAID5
Elementary Schools Servers: (they are not clustered, please don't ask why )
Dual-2.3 GHz Xserve G5 cluster node running Mac OS X Server 10.4.2
Dual-2.3 GHz Xserve G5 running Mac OS X Server 10.4.2
Dual-2.5 GHz PowerMac G5 running Mac OS X Server 10.4.2
all connected to a 4-drive Xserve RAID (~800GB) with RAID5
High School Clients:
Mostly PowerMac G4s (Sawtooths, Quicksilvers and a few MDD's) and few PowerMac G5s all running Mac OS X 10.4.2.
Elementary School Clients:
eMacs running Mac OS X 10.3.9
