Since I got a new iMac G5, I have not been able to get my Agfa Snap Scan Touch to work. I used Apple's phone support and they instructed me to remove the preferences folder to the desktop and start the scanner software.
It then worked fine, but when I replaced the preferences that Apple told me to move back from the original folder, the scanner software crashed on startup which is what the problem was all along. I am sure there must be some kind of conflict between one of those preferences and the scanner software (Scanwise X) but I don't know how to go about finding out which one is causing the problem.
I found Vue Scan software and thought that would solve my problem, but as it turns out, the Snap Scan Touch is the only Agfa model not supported by it.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
