scanning to iphoto

i have a hp 4315v printer and i want to scan photos to iphoto and then to an external hard drive and dvds. is this possible? i am just starting and need help. thank you. ronnie

Wrong app. Use Image Capture.

Yes, use scanning software to scan and then import into iPhoto.
