I have a mac mini 1.25 GHz with a 40 gig hard drive and 1 gig ram. I recently acquired a maxtor 300 gig external firewire drive to store my music and photos. I copied my user folders to the external, then did an erase and install with osx 10.4.6 (upgrading from panther) onto the native hard drive. After installing iphoto 5 I deleted the pictures folder on the native drive, then launched iphoto and directed it to the photo library folder on the external. All went swimmingly until upon setting my screensaver and desktop preferences I discovered that the names of all my iphoto albums were in the screensaver pane, but there were no actual photos associated with them. How do I redirect the system preference to the proper location?
