I have a seagate Goflexs 500 Gb drive I am trying to use as a data dump for TV shows and such. It has a nice feature in that it un-plugs from my mac and slides into the Seagate TV box I have so that my computer does not need to be on while I watch TV - at least that was the idea.
I have the Go flex plugged into the computer and it works fine. I can save to it, watch stuff on the computer, and even see the files when I transfer the drive to the TV box, but it wont play anything in the Seagate TV box.
I used the NTSF format (for PC and Mac) instead of going pure mac, doe this have anything to do with the TV box not being able to read the files?
I tried reading an old file (one I have watched through a network cable to my TV) and it will not read once I transfer the drive either. Very frustrating, and I am sure it is some setting somewhere.
Appreciate your help
