I found this tip over at http://www.resexcellence.com/ for finding files MUCH FASTER than Sherlock using a program called Locator (http://www.sebastian-krauss.de/software/). Locator is a front end GUI for the UNIX locate command. After you update your locate database (it is automatically updated once a week if your computer is running 24/7), it finds files in the locate database instantly. Quite impressive, but as the author points out, if you move or delete files constantly, Locator may give you the incorrect path for the file, if it exists. This method of finding files is REALLY FAST. It would be nice if Sherlock could be configured to use this database.
