I get this Login Prompt after I've authenticated with my admin password. I type in the info and it kicks me right back to enter it again, it doesn't give me a message about incorrect ID or Password. I've also tried with the "root" password and it still kicks me back to to this same login window... Any ideas?

By authenticated do you mean while you're using the OS or do you mean you're trying to log in right after startup? If it's about authenticating for allowing an administrative task, your admin password seems to be plain wrong. _Are_ you an administrator on that machine?
