Weird - I noticed about this feature only now.. [but I think I haven't seen about it e.g. in macosxhints.com]
I was answering to an email from a person that is both on my address book and iChat buddy list - on both with the mac.com address. Once I had hit the "reply" button to answer ... I could see the green button on the * To: field that indicates he was online! I imagined the green light was about iChat, so I went to have a look - and right, it was (the person is 99% of time offline). Kewl. Sometimes it's faster to say 1 frase in IM than mailing ...
