Seeking mp3 mix/burn app

I'm looking for an app that will let me create mix CDs from my mp3s, but--unlike iTunes--give me true crossfade control between songs.

Ideally, I'd be able to create a playlist of songs and set up custom crossfades for each song transition, then burn the playlist to an audio CD. I'd still want each song to have a separate track number on the audio CD.

The only apps I've found so far are DJ-oriented, and the only recording capability they have is in real time (they also have no CD-burning capability). I'm looking for an improvement on iTunes.

Roxio Toast - Jam is exactly what you want.

You can change the fade out fade in of tracks, overlap tracks, then select the transition point where to start the next track.

Jam 5: Arrange your tracks and build your 100% Red Book-compliant audio CD. Create dynamic crossfades between tracks, edit PQ subcodes, set the gain for each channel of each track, cleanly trim your tracks, and more.

its not cheap tho $70!!

I think i've used it once, it was fun but fairly time consuming. If i used it more i might consider buying it, but at the moment its not worth it
