Re: member
Don't know if this is meant to be in Darwin/Unix or here, but I guess here:
I have my G4/466 workstation, and an older G4/400 acting as a file and web server.
All projects worked on the workstation are saved and worked off the server hard drive, which is always mounted on my workstation desktop (via AFP obviously).
Anyway, if I go to the command line and cd the Volumes directory, I see the Hard drives names, but several of them duplicated, such as:
ServerWork
ServerWork-1
ServerWork-2
WebServer
WebServer-1
... this is also the case if I browse the Volumes folder in the finder.
I am guessing that some of these have been left when the Server has been incorrectly dismounted by the workstation (when the Server shuts down without telling the workstation etc.)
So, how do I get rid of the unnecessary ones?
