Idiot
I have a small network of 10 Mac's running x.2.3, one Mac is running x.2.2 Server, we have a BT broadband connection and use Microsoft Entourage for our email (pop). at the moment all our email address go to one mail box and we all download all eachothers mail. Can i set up the osx server as a mail server so it can download all the mail then send each mac their own mail only? if this can be done, how do i set it up???

Yes, you can easily setup a mail server, but...

Typically, mail servers are linked to specific domains, so you'd need to setup your own domain and configure mail for that domain to go to your mail server. Your mail server can then filter the mail into multiple mailboxes, one per user.

The alternative is that you might be able to configure fetchmail and procmail or something similar to download mail from your ISP and divide it amonsgt the users, but a standalone domain would be much easier.

Do you have your own domain? Do you want to get one? That'll tell you which way to go.

I am new to this so please forgive my lack of knowlage.

we have a BT Broadband account and have our own domain name hosted by another company that points our mail to the BT Account, Is this what you mean by "have our own Domain"?
if not how do i set up or get my own domain??

Yes, it sounds like you have your own domain name (yourcompany.co.uk, right?)

In that case it's really easy. Since you're already running Mac OS X Server, you already have everything you need.

Follow the admin guide's instructions on setting up your mail server for your domain (I assume you have the user accounts already set)

Once you have done that (and tested it of course), you then just need to update your DNS so that the MX record for your domain points to the IP address of your server.
