SetTime or SetDateTime

On apple they say SetTime and SetDateTime are carbonized. I can use these commands with no problem on OS 9, but on OS X they dont work!

So what am I missing?

Can someone provide some sample C/C++ code on how to change the date/time under OS X?

Another note -- people have told me that this may be a root/super user issue. Thats fine, but then why can I go to the date/time control panel and just change the date/time?

Thats all I want to do, just from code.
