My astronomy software (Starry Night) uses the Mac system location (Latitude and Longitude info stored in the PRAM) as the default when launching. This worked well under OS 9 and before, as you could set the system location with a control panel, and then the sky would be shown as seen from the system location.
I have been unable to find similar functionality under any version of OS X, and the OS 9 control panel normally used for this says that it can't work when the system is booted under OS X.
I CAN'T be the only person who wants this capability, as there are a lot of potential uses besides astronomy software.
It is possible (hopefully) that I'm the only one who doesn't know how to set this in Jaguar.
Any ideas?
