Shared Printer on XP netwrok

Hi guys, great looking forum you have here, well done! I am hoping someone may be able to shed some light on my problem.
I just got a mac mini and am very happy with it (much prefer it to my pc's). I'm just stuck with getting it to print at work on our windows networked shared printer. As far as networking goes, I can access all the shared folders on the PC's, but I cant find the mac shared folder from the PC's. (this would be helpful but not as important as the printer)
The printer i'm trying to access is a HP buisness inkjet 1100d. HP says that the driver is built in to the OS X, but i cannot find ot listed. The PC that the printer is installed on, using the shared docs etc is not a problem.
Also, I have tried to network the mac at home in which i have the same printer, and I am having the same problem, eg. can network to the computer that the printer is installed on but not use the printer. Actually, the mac finds the printer and i can set it as default etc but when I print to it I get a variety of error messages.
After many weeks of trial and error, i think the problems lies with the driver, but being such a newbie to macs, I am just stuck for help!!!
Any help would be much appreciated
 
Thanks for all the help. I sorted it out myself, in case anyone else needs to know, you have to use the drivers for the deskjet 900
