Single greatest feature of Panther!

Apple finally brought back the ability to navigate for files and levels in a window via the arrow & cmd keys. This was the single biggest annoyance with the switch to OS X for me since being able to navigate quickly is a huge part of the user experience.

Thank you Apple! Oh, it is also faster too!

This is no new panther feature.
Jaguar did it too.
Maybe I got you wrong, but navigating through levels in a window works with apple+arrow.

I couldn't navigate a window in Jaguar like I could in OS 9 especially with those stupid panes in OS X. Of course, I could be a complete bonehead and never saw it in Jaguar. It's just that in Panther, that was the first thing I picked up on with the new finder windows.

My only regret is that the hierarchy (see pop-up menu) is not either in the left pane or in the left most column. It would be more usefull for fast navigation to be able in one click to go up as many level as desired than to have all levels completely displayed in several columns (if you are 10 levels down, you have 10 columns !!).

What are you guys talking about? To navigate through windows in an application I use "COMMAND" + "`" (the key left of the "1" key)

For me the interface speed is well welcome, whether or not that is a feature. Expose is the coolest feature.
