Sky broadband and Airport Extreme

I have a Sky Netgear V2 DG934G router which broadcasts a 'g' signal and I have my Airport Extreme broadcasting an 'n' signal. It is wired to the Sky Router and acts as a bridge i.e. the Sky Router deals with NAT and DHCP.

My question is this.

I use Transmission for downloading and it keeps saying ports closed. How do I open ports?

When I had a cable modem it was easy as I could just configure the Airport Extreme and all was great. I just cannot seem to to figure out the setup with the Sky Router involved.

Don't fret too much about this in Transmission. Mine says the same thing, even with various Firewalls having that port open, and 'Automatically Map Port' (for NAT-PMP or UPnP), and it still works fine. If you are getting no transfers on what should be well seeded torrents, however, ensure your firewall is allowing the specified port number through, and that 'Automatically Map Port' is checked. If you have no joy there, look upstream at your router configs, then look questioningly at your ISP to ensure that they don't throttle or block Bittorrent access.
