sleep mode, is this ok?

i have set up my computer to never go to sleep, because music softwares that i use daily require me to do so, anyway sometimes i instead of shutting down my computer i just close it and it just go to sleep anyway.... is this a problem?, i wonder if that contradiction can damage my omputer, i have a macbook pro...

What contradiction? What music software?
The computer is _built_ with letting it sleep in mind, so a function of it shouldn't harm the computer. If the music software has a problem with the computer sleeping, they should fix that. Until it's fixed, you can quit that application before letting the computer go to sleep.
 
I think charangovago wanted to know if by setting his computer to never sleep in system preferences, and then forcing sleep by closing the lid, would damage his computer.
The simple answer is "no", it will not.
