Sleep now takes 20 seconds, was near instantaneous

Subject pretty much says it all. Putting the system to sleep now has about a 20-30 second pause, then it sleeps. I've no idea what it's waiting on.

If this helps:

Hello soso... I have had the same thing since upgrading to 10.2.6. Did your sleep issue occur with 10.2.6 because sleep has been perfect for me up until 10.2.6.

I hadn't thought about it, but I probably did upgrade to 10.2.6 at about that time. If that's it I'll just wait until Panther or whatever rather than searching for what I might have done to my machine to give it insomnia.

Has anyone else had this experience?

Not I, my Sleep has been perfect since upgrade to 10.2.6. I'm on a 533mhz Digital Audio G4...

I haven't even turned on the B&W G3 for a few months so I have no idea if it was effected, though IMO Sleep mode has always been a bit stinky on that machine...

I think sleep and the usb port and certain connections cause this. because when i had my scanner hooked up, as soon as it went to sleep it crashed, I sat here and watched it happen. And this has happened in almost every release and update. It doesn't happen all the time, and i don't leave my scanner plugged in to find out. Same thing with my CD burner that isn't supported. Something is there, as if it reads somethings upon sleep and upon waking that causes this.

also no problems with X.2.6... using a 300 mhz clamshell no scanner, but printer and cd writer on usb
