Slow networking in OS X

I use IPNetRouter on an iMac running OS 9 to get my Ti online. Everything is fine under 9 and it works at the speed it should, but under OS X omniweb and explorer barely go over 500 bytes/sec. All the settings are identical under both 9 and X... am i missing something? I want to use X and am tired of switching back and forth... any help appreciated!

PS: This is a just a wild guess, as I don't know what IPNetRouter is, but you will probably want to use the built in UNIX style networking programms to network your TiBook under X. There's everything there you need and they run quick ...
 
IPNetRouter is a program that allows you to share an internet connection between the computers on a network, in this case my iMac and TiBook.
