Slow Powerpoint Slide Animation

I put together a Powerpoint slide presentation, set it up with animations -- sent it to my assistant using a Dell PC to set up animations, which he did -- then sent it back to me on my PowerBook G4. For some reason the animations run slowly on the Mac, but perfectly fine on the PC. Each object takes 1-2 seconds to "fly" in, and with multiple objects on a slide it seems unbearably slow to finally populate the slide. Has anybody else experienced this? Thanks, Buz.
 
never experienced this on my G5. How much ram do you have? is there anything else running at the same time that is very processor intensive? Are the images in the powerpoint presentation very large? what version of powerpoint are you using?
 
Files are about 1.5M, a 1.5GB G4 Powerbook with 512M RAM, images are thumbnails in the presentation, Powerpoint version X, service release 1, whatever that means.
