Hello MacosX.com
I'm a recent (semi) pc to mac convert. Loved the clean simplicity of mac until this problem arouse: Safari is painfully slow. We have a MacBook running OSX and Safari 4 accessing the WWW via wifi. We first noticed it while attempting to go to our online banking site. It took better than 5 minutes to go from the from our home page to our banking info. Ridiculous. This is our main PC for a family of five and my wife uses if for online classes, so it needs to be faster. I have a dinosaur IBM think pad running win2000 and it accessed the site in seconds while plugged to the LAN line so I plugged the mac in but Safari still loaded slow. The only thing that changed recently is I downloaded Skype to this Mac. Could Skype have affected Safari performance? I've since trashed Skype but Safari is still crawling.
I've searched the forum and found some info on slow Safari but it's related to recent use of snow leopard. I really don't want to use Snow Leopard or FireFox or others. Just wanna keep things simple. Can anyone help?
Thanks
