i leave my iBook, and often my PC Connected and running, 24/7, but my iBook will set itself to sleep within 15 minutes of idleness! Now, Often, i leave Windows (XP) Shares open, on the desktop, and when i wake the iBook from sleep, the shares that are on the desktop, are 'if ya like' dead links. If you double click them, the Beachball appears, the Finder Does a Little Dance (lol) and then the share is unmounted. So in effect, after wake, the Finder SHOULD remove the shares, but doesn't. The thing that bugs me, however is, after this, i may want to reconnect to one of those shares, and so i'll do it in the regular way, but as i select the share to mount, i get an Error 47! Now i don't know wat Error 47 Stands for, but the only way around it, is to relaunch the Finder. The Strange thing is, when i do so, Whatever Shares that wer mounted, previous to the computer sleeping, REMAIN mounted, AND Fully operational! ...How does that Figure?!
has anyone had simular issues, or maybe anything which might solve a 'small' niggle?
