Hi! i'm some system problems, probably due to some changes in the startup windows... since i don't have many cds here available for a backup, it's possible to restore the system using panther installation cd, or it's simple better to wait and backup my softwares and documents?

You can restore your system with panther. However, backups are always strongly recommended. It is actually enough for you to backup your home folder.
 
excuse me, another info... it should seem stupid, but my restart button doesn't actually work, so, which key do I have to press to boot from the cd? i really can't remember!!
