Sony Handycam not recognised by Firewire

Hello

My Sony Handycam is not recognised by my Firewire cable when running Leopard on my Mac.

Curiously enough, I never had any problems when connecting my Sony Handycam to my Mac running Tiger.

Any suggestions?
