HA! HA! HA!
Howdy,
Recently, I upgraded but I still have my Graphite iBook. I've thought about selling it or passing it on to my father who's starting to get the hang of e-mail and basic surfing. If not, I'll partition it off and use it for my Classic and/or VPC work.
But until then I was wonder what steps I should take with it. I've been keeping it shut down and in the case for the most part, especially since I added an external hard drive recently and don't need it as much now as an extra storage device or dedicated mp3 player.
About once every 10 days or so, I've been starting it up and letting it run for a few hours (and checking software updates), before letting it sleep over night, then shutting it back down before going to work in the morning.
Am I doing the right thing? Should I do it more often or less? Should I remove the battery if it's shut down for any significant length of time? And if it is good to run it once in a while and charge the battery, is the few hours enough to do it?
It'll probably be this way for another 3 or months, until I either move and set it up as a network in my new home office (aka the spare bedroom) or pass it on to my old man. Cheers.
