Speaker Problems

I don't know what I did but my speakers are muted and I can't get them to work. The output select window is blank and will not allow me to select anything. Help!!!

Computer? Operating system? What speakers? USB connection? etc.

Thanks for your reply. Here is the info. IMAC, OSX ver 10.4.11, the speakers are the internal IMAC on the computer. Thanks again. B

What computer model? There have been sever "iMac" computers... G3 (colorful CRT), G4 (lamp stand), G5 (flat panel), Intel????
